New Delhi: As the political focus shifts to Bihar, churning within the Mahagathbandhan has begun with leaders of four constituents - RLSP chief Upendra Kushwaha, HAM(S) chief Jitan Ram Manjhi and VIP chief Mukesh Sahni and RLD patron Sharad Yadav - holding a closed-door meeting on Friday.

According to sources, meeting was prompted by concerns of the smaller parties over RJD, as it announced Tejaswi Yadav as the CM face. Congress and RJD representatives were not invited to the meeting.

Speaking to media, RLSP chief Upendra Kushwaha said, "It is very obvious to hold meetings as election in the state is approaching. We will keep holding these meetings so there is no need to speculate much. More and more parties should join Mahagathbandan so that it gets expanded."

Since there was no RJD leader present in the meeting, the bid is taken as either as a part of pressure politics on RJD or an attempt to forge an alliance minus RJD.

It is to be noted that the RJD declined to comment on this meeting saying it's very normal among parties to hold meetings.
