Bharatpur: Tension prevailed in Manjhi village of Bharatpur district in Rajasthan when a person was allegedly killed on Monday in a dispute between relatives over Panchayati Raj election.
The firing took place at the distance of 50 meters from the Nadbai police station. The deceased person has been identified as Vijaypal. The body was shifted to RBM hospital for the post-mortem.
It is being told that in the upcoming Panchayati election in Bharatpur two people from the same family were contesting for the post of village head which led to a dispute in the family.
Elections were scheduled to be held on January 22, but before that, other relatives shot Vijaypal in front of Nadabai police station.
