Bengaluru: Every day, social media come up with new trends and freaky challenges. This time #couplechallenge has been trending on Twitter wherein people are sharing their romantic pictures and videos.
As it is not clear who or what started this challenge, forensic expert B N Phaneendra asserted that posting picture or video on social media platforms with the couple may invite danger by cybercriminals. According to him, these challenges have been initiated with a motive to assemble private photos and videos from the user and then used for creating intimate meems and fraud.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, the forensic expert said that the data and information collected from the post can be used to obtain the details of the user.
"If anyone shares pictures or videos of his/her spouse by tagging with the social media accounts, the fraudsters can obtain the details of the user and his/her partner and has the potential to cheat the account holder. It makes an easier task for the fraudsters to move ahead with action plans. By reacting on these challenges, one is exposing his own identity along with the details of the family members to the outer world ", the forensic expert said adding to ignore such challenges in future.
He further said that over 13 lakh posts have been done till now on Facebook.
