Bengaluru crime branch intercept narco couriers, two arrested

It was learned that the police seized stamps from the couriers who concealed the narcotic substance in the form of adhesive on them. According to the police, the accused were bringing the substance on 'Ganapathi stamps' from Kottayam district in Kerala.

Bengaluru: The Central Crime Branch police have arrested two alleged drug peddlers and seized drugs worth Rs 15 lakh.

Individuals -- Arun Antony and Ganesh -- from Kerala were arrested by the crime investigation wing of Karnataka.

The police said a one Amal Baiju also has to be apprehended in the case.

It was learned that the police seized stamps from the couriers who concealed the narcotic substance in the form of adhesive on them. According to the police, the accused were bringing the substance on 'Ganapathi stamps' from Kottayam district in Kerala.

More than 400 stamps were seized. A stamp was to be sold for Rs 4,000, the police say.

The case was registered at Hebbagodi station near Electronic City.

Arun was working as an X-ray technician at Sparsh at Health City near Hebbagodi in Anekal Taluk.

Police said that the accused have been supplying and selling drugs in pubs and parties.
