Beggars donate ration for needy amid coronavirus lockdown

Two beggars - one from Andhra Pradesh and the other from Nepal who have been living in Kullu for the last two decades, contributed 50 kg flour, 50 kg rice and 10 kg pulses through Annapurna society, to those who are in need of food. The duo who is heavily dependent on begging to meet their daily needs for the past 20 years decided to donate ration as 'they know what hunger feels like'.

Kullu (Himachal Pradesh): 'Help others with whatever assets you have', two beggars- one from Andhra Pradesh and the other from Nepal demonstrated the same by donating ration to those in need on Wednesday.

As crisis of hunger continue to prevail amid lockdown following coronavirus outbreak, the duo-Ratlam and Nepali Baba, who has been residing in Kullu for the last two decades decided to do their bit in order to resolve the hunger crisis in the town.

The duo who is heavily dependent on begging to meet their daily needs for the past 20 years decided to donate ration as 'they know what hunger feels like'.

Lending a helping hand amid COVID-19 crisis , Ratlam and Nepali baba contributed 50 kg flour, 50 kg rice and 10 kg pulses through Annapurna society, to those who are in need of food. The society is and the members of Kullu Press Club are cooking and distributing food among the needy during the lockdown.

The two beggars, who survive on begged food and spend nights on footpath received applauds from both public and government officials for setting an example other can follow.
