Bengaluru: All left parties in the country have called for a campaign from January 1st, spanning seven days, against the BJP government over NRC-NPR-CAA and its anti-people economic policies.

This comes at a time when protests are spreading across the country over the implementation of the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act and government's proposed plans for a National Population Registry.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, D. Raja, CPI leader said that left parties are planning massive rallies in support of Anti-CAA protest in the country.

"Community Party of India along with all left parties are going to carry out rallies from January 1st-7th, in solidarity with trade unions, Kisan organisations," Raja said.

"The rallies will culminate with a Bharat bandh on January 8th," Raja added.

Responding to the attack on the State headquarters of the CPI situated at Bengaluru's Vaiyyalikaval area by a group of unidentified men, Raja strongly condemned the incident and urged the BSY government to bring the culprits to book.

"By intimidating, by terrorising nobody should think that CPI can be cowed down," he added.
