Chennai: A man was arrested for attempting to deliver the baby of his live-in partner after watching YouTube videos about the same.
A 27-year-old, Soundhar, from near Gummidipoondi who worked in private gas agency company and Janaki a 19-year-old college girl was in a live-in relationship. The relationship grew up to Janaki's pregnancy.
As the girl's pregnancy entered 8th month, Soundhar, to better to hide the pregnancy, planned to deliver the child in an isolated place. He attempted to deliver the baby with the help of childbirth videos he saw on YouTube which turned out to be a recipe for disaster.

The delivery resulted in the infant getting stuck leading to complications.
Out of his depth, Soundhar dropped the plan and admitted Janaki to a nearby government hospital. While the doctors were able to save the girl, her baby wasn't as lucky.
Soundhar was arrested after doctors informed the police about the incident.
