Air India employee dies at Chennai airport tarmac

Air India employee Pasupathi Rajan died while sorting packages on a flight from Chicago. Doctors said that he died due to heart attack.

Chennai: Air India employee died yesterday while delivering his duty at Chennai International Airport. The employee was identified as Pasupathi Rajan (57). He worked for the commercial division of the Air India office at Chennai International Airport.

Last night, Air India flight from Chicago to Chennai via Delhi was parked at the airport. Rajan was counting packages on a plane. Suddenly, he fainted and he was rushed to hospital by his colleagues.

However, he could not be saved and doctors said that he succumbed to a heart attack. His mortal remains were sent for postmortem in Government hospital in Chrompet. Further investigation is underway.
