Adults must protect children with self-inculcated safety measures amid coronavirus crisis: UNICEF

As the number of coronavirus cases continues to increase across the globe, UNICEF has released a report which focuses on children's health, safety, nutrition, learning and development to ward off the deadly virus.

Hyderabad: Amid the coronavirus outbreak, UNICEF advised parents to focus on children's health, safety, nutrition, learning and development, especially those below six years, in order to combat the epidemic disaster.

UNICEF has released a report titled 'Early Childhood Development in the Country', which focuses on the health, safety and security of parents, caregivers and elders to take care of children who are below the age of six years . The report mentioned that a six-year old’s mind develops a lot faster and especially within the completion of the initial three years, a child’s mental ability develops rapidly. In the current epidemic of Covid-19, parents are under extreme pressure and are reeling in insecurity over their future.

The Coronavirus disaster has brought new challenges for parents and children. Little kids are terribly worried by the current virus affects. The closure of preschools and schools has literally changed their daily lives. Severe restrictions are being implemented on the movement of the children. Positive attitude towards children at this time and proper supervision can solve emotional and psychological problems. "Parents should give children clear information on the coronavirus, as to what to do and how they should be prepared to fight the virus," mentions the UNICEF report.

The report further talks about health, food and nutrition, safety and precaution,social relationship and learning as well as overall development to enable children learn faster and much better.
