New Delhi: Addressing a press conference, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Friday claimed that actions taken by Pakistan, in the backdrop of modifications to the provisions of Article 370 pertaining to Jammu and Kashmir, is unilateral and urged it to reconsider the same.
"We've urged them to reconsider their decision.Our sense is that whatever is being done by Pakistan is to present an alarming picture of bilateral relationship," MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said.
Terming the Jammu Kashmir issue as an internal matter, MEA said, "It is time for Pakistan to accept the reality and stop interfering in internal affairs of other countries."
"Pakistan fear the overall development of people of Jammu and Kashmir will reduce cross-border terrorism and encourage tourism," he added.
