New Delhi: With Delhi elections inching closer, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Vijay Goel launched a scathing attack at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal led - Aam Aadmi Party and said that the party has "destroyed" Delhi, and has turned it into a "slum".
"They have destroyed Delhi, turned it into a slum. Delhi should get rid of them, " Goel told ETV Bharat.
Further taking a dig at the party for giving tickets to leaders such as Shoaib Iqbal, who have "criminal cases" registered against them, despite reiterating their anti-corruption stance.
"AAP had said that Corruption, Crime, Character and Communalsim, any MLA who is associated with any of the four things would not be allowed to contest elections from their party. But they have fielded Shoaib Iqbal. He is anti-Hindu, and has several cases registered against him, Amanatullah Khan, why have these people been given a ticket? How will these people maintain law and order in Delhi, " the Rajya Sabha MP said.

Talking about the issues that the BJP would fight the elections over, Goel said, "Governor's rule is a big issue in Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal hasn't done any development-related work in Delhi over the past five years. One of the biggest concerns for Delhi is that of increasing pollution levels...Second concern in dirty water. Half of Delhi doesn't have access to water, and the tanker mafia is thriving."
On whether he will contest the Delhi election, he said that our party decides on who will fight the polls, we don't take such decisions.
