A four-member investigation committee formed in Bangaon death case

After a 68-year-old man died due to the negligence of the hospital staff, a four-member investigation committee has been formed to investigate the matter. Madhav Narayan Dutta was taken to Bongaon Subdivisional Hospital around 5 pm on Saturday. By night, his condition had deteriorated and as per the doctor’s recommendation, he was asked to move to a hospital which was nearly 100kms away.

Kolkata: A four-member investigation committee has been formed in Bangaon death case and asked to submit its report regarding this to the hospital authority.

On Saturday, a 68-year-old man West Bengal's Bangaon, who had difficulty in breathing and was directed by the Bongaon Subdivisional Hospital to leave for Kolkata, passed away on failing to board an ambulance.

Madhav Narayan Dutta was taken to Bongaon Subdivisional Hospital around 5 pm on Saturday. By night, his condition had deteriorated and as per the doctor’s recommendation, he was asked to move to a hospital which was nearly 100kms away.

In a tragic turn of circumstances, Dutta collapsed after no one except for his wife offered help so he could climb into the ambulance, speculating that he had likely contracted COVID-19.
