Bengaluru: Two Tamil Nadu based techies were killed after they fell from the flyover of Electronics City on Tuesday night around 9.15 pm. CCTV footage of the accident has surfaced, showing a man and woman being thrown into the air as a speeding car rams their bike from the rear. According to police, the duo was working in a private firm in the city.
The deceased have been identified as Preetham (30) and Krithika (28) from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The bodies of the victims have been kept at Saint John’s hospital mortuary and will be handed over to the family members after post mortem.

According to police, Preetam and Krithika who were travelling on a Royal Enfield Bike (TN-01-BD-9218) were passing on the Electronics City flyover when the car (KA01 MR 2802) driver Nittesh (23) while trying to overtake another vehicle lost control and hit the median. As a result, the vehicle veered to the extreme left and hit the bike.
The impact was such that the young couple were tossed off the elevated road and fell from a height of 30-feet onto the road below. Both suffered severe head injuries and succumbed on the spot.

A case has been registered against Nitesh under Section 279, 304 (A) of the IPC at the Electronic City Traffic Police Station, and an investigation is underway.
