Dehradun/Patna: Bihar's gangster-turned-politician Anand Mohan, who was released from Saharsa Jail a week back is seen singing at his son's wedding in a video that has recenly come to light.
Anand along with his wife, Lovely, are seen singing the popular song from film 'Brahmachari', "Aak Kal Tere Mere Pyar Ke Charche". The other family members join the couple and dance to the song. Anand, who appears to be in a jovial mood matches steps with the others.
Anand is currently in Dehradun to attend the wedding ceremony of his son, Chetan Anand. The ceremony was held on Wednesday in a grand manner and only selected guests including very close relatives were invited.
This comes four days before the Supreme Court is set to hear a petition filed by slain IAS officer G Krishnaiah's widow challenging the Bihar government's decision to release Anand. Life convict Anand was released from the jail on April 27 after serving a sentence of 14 years in the G Krishnaiah muder case following Bihar government's amendment of the rules. A bench of the CJI and Justice Pardiwala will hear the petition.
Dalit IAS officer and Gopalganj district magistrate Krishnaiah was killed on December 5, 1994 by a mob that was led by Anand. Krishnaiah's widow, Uma Krishnaiah moved the apex court requesting that Anand should have been kept behind the bars till death and that it was not right to release him just because he has served 14 years of sentence.

After the incident, a trial court, on October 5, 2007 had sentenced Anand to death, which was commuted to life imprisonment by the High Court on December 10, 2008. Later, it was confirmed by the Supreme Court on July 10, 2012.
