Greater Noida: Emergency services say they have controlled a fire that broke out at a chemical facility in Noida, according to reports. The blaze, which hit the facility on Tuesday in Surajpur industrial area spread quickly through stockpiles of chemicals.
At least 15 fire tenders were brought in to douse the flame. After two hours, the fire was brought under control. The fire which broke out at 8.20 a.m. caused panic in the surrounding areas and damaged the factory completely. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
Gautam Budh Nagar Chief Fire Officer Arun Kumar Singh told news agency that the fire broke out in the morning at RS Chemical which produced thinner, which is highly inflammable. He said that no casualties were reported. The company is spread over an area of 1000 square feet.
