Barabanki: As many as 15 people have lost their lives, while more than 26 people were injured after a bus carrying around 60 people collided with a truck in Uttar Pradesh's Barabanki on Thursday. The freak mishap took place near Baburi village that falls under Devan police station limits, police said.
"The ill-fated bus which was on its way from Delhi to Bahraich had 60 passengers on board. All those injured have been rushed to the nearest hospital," police added.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath expressing shock over the mishap has announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh each to the kin of the deceased.
"Anguished by the road accident in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. Condolences to the families of those who lost their lives. Prayers with the injured. Rs. 2 lakh each from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to the injured," PM Modi tweeted.
