Bengaluru: A total of 778 covid-infected people have died at home from May 2nd to May 19th due to various causes, a BBMP's death audit said. There are so many cases of death at home that are alarming. People have died without treatment, without a hospital bed and due to a lack of awareness about the infection.
Meanwhile, Corona testing in Bengaluru is also being reduced. Failure to detect the infection immediately has led to severe morbidity and mortality. On the other hand, the Covid report comes late, and the infected people are dying before the report is given.
Commenting on the death, BBMP chief commissioner Gaurav Gupta said the death report shows that 778 people died in home isolation. A deeper investigation will be made on the cause of deaths. We have informed to give a detailed report on this.
