Kaman (Rajasthan): Rajasthan police on Sunday arrested three youths for gang-raping and impregnating a Dalit minor girl in a village under Kaman police limits in Rajasthan's Bharatpur. The accused trio was identified as Saddam, Taufik and Mamman of the same locality.
According to police sources, a 13-year-old girl is 17-week pregnant after she was gang-raped by three men of her village in Bharatpur four months ago.
Doctors found out about her pregnancy when the girl complained of abdominal pain and was taken to the hospital a few days ago.
After this, the girl told her parents about the sexual assault, police said. She said the three have raped her multiple times in the last four months.
The incident came to fore after the family of the girl lodged a complaint with Kaman police following which the three accused were arrested.
According to the FIR, the three men dragged the girl to a mustard field in a village under the Kaman police station about four months ago. They gagged her and gang-raped her there.
As per the allegations of the victim’s family members, the accused trio lured the girl in several ways and established physical relationship with her many times in the past four months.
The girl’s mother said the girl complained of abdominal pain and was taken to a private hospital in Kaman on May 23, where doctors found through ultrasound examination that she was pregnant for 17 weeks.
Kaman police station DCP, Pradeep Yadav said," A case has been registered against the three accused persons and the minor girl's medical examination was done. We have also taken her to a magistrate and her statement was recorded under section 164 of the CrPC. The trio has been arrested under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) on charges of sexually assaulting the girl."
