Hyderabad: Two Nigerian nationals have been arrested by Hyderabad police from the Tarnaka area on Sunday for allegedly supplying drugs.
The arrested persons were identified as Jidiofor alias Zadi Pascal (35) of Tarnaka and Chukwudi Ebere Monica (30) of Mumbai, both natives of Nigeria.
Acting on specific information, the Enforcement officers of the Excise department raided at Tarnaka area and arrested the duo.
The duo was nabbed after a brief chase and the drug found inside their bags, a senior police officer said.
The accused reportedly confessed that they used to get cocaine from their contact. Police have seized 104 grams of cocaine, Rs 1.64 lakh cash and a bike.
The police have booked the duo under Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, and sent them to Musheerabad Excise Police Station. Efforts are on to nab Ben, Ebuka and Arik who are said to be on the run, the official added.
