Oman: Cyclone Hikka hovering over the Arabian Sea made landfall on the coast of Oman on Tuesday with wind speeds reaching up to 120km per hour, according to the country's civil aviation authority.
Strong wind and rain pounded Al-Masirah Island while waves were reported to have reached up to six meters high in the southern regions of Al-Sharqiya and Al-Wusta.
People are advised to take precaution measures and stay at home, the country's Public Authority of Civil Aviation said an official statement.
No injuries or deaths were reported and services were back up and running within 24 hours, the National Center for Emergency Management said.
