Gaza City: The intense fighting between Israel and Hamas militants have come to a halt after the Israeli army lifted protective restrictions on residents in southern Israel, while the Hamas militant group's radio station in the Gaza Strip reported a ceasefire.
Though there is no official ceasefire announcement from either side, but a deal would end the bloodiest fighting which is continuing since 2014.
Israeli tanks and armoured personnel carriers could still be seen on the border with Gaza early on Monday.
