Jerusalem: Greek orthodox clergy gathered on Thursday for the traditional Washing of the Feet ceremony in Jerusalem.
This year the ceremony was moved from the atrium of the Holy Sepulchre to a church inside the compound due to coronavirus restrictions.
For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia and death.
The vast majority of people recover.

For most people, the virus causes mild to moderate symptoms such as fever and cough. But for some, especially older adults and the infirm, it can cause pneumonia and even lead to death.
