Madrid: Protesters in Catalonia's town of Vic vandalized a police station on Tuesday evening after police arrested rap singer Pablo Hasél, who was imprisoned earlier in the day for insulting the monarchy and glorifying terrorism.
They smashed windows and threw objects at police who were outnumbered. At least four people were detained in Vic and 11 police officers were injured according to Catalonia's regional police, the Mossos D'Esquadra.

A standoff between police and Spanish rapper Pablo Hasél ended earlier Tuesday with anti-riot officers arresting him at a university. He is set to serve a 9-month sentence for insulting the monarchy and glorifying terrorism.
His case has been linked to the government's sudden announcement that it will change a national law that some say curtails freedom of expression.
