Gibraltar: The seized Iranian supertanker in Gibraltar has 28 crew members belonging mainly Indians with some Pakistanis and Ukrainians.
A spokesperson for the British territory said that tanker's crew were being interviewed as witnesses to establish the nature of the cargo and its ultimate destination.
On Thursday the British Royal Marines seized the Iranian Grace 1 supertanker over breaching of European Union sanctions by carrying a shipment of Iranian crude oil to Syria in Gibraltar.
The European Union has imposed sanctions on the regime of Syria's President Bashar Assad due to its continued crackdown against civilians.
On Friday, Gibraltar said it had obtained an order extending the detention of the tanker by 14 days.
