The International Motor Show will open to media and trade visitors Tuesday 10 September and will run till 22 September. This year's motor show will witness various models of electric cars.

Frankfurt: Carmakers are experimenting with the European auto market with the newly designed electric cars which are developed with the help of battery technology. These cars are designed to meet the tighter European and Chinese rules on greenhouse gas emissions.

Although this year's motor show in Frankfurt will see the electric waves through various car models.

Among all the car buyers Volkswagen's group will display its new ID.3 model. The all-new ID.3 version has a roomy interior, brisk acceleration and battery rage up to 550 kilometres and is the breakthrough version of iPhone.

The base price of the ID.3 model is under 30,000 euros which proves that this electric car is designed for everyone.

According to the company, the ID.3 model holds historical value as its pattern is based on the beetle which helped bring car ownership to postwar Germany and remained in production until 2003.

The electric cars list also includes the Daimler's Smart Fortwo, BMW's electric Mini and Porsche's Taycan which will be a direct challenge to Tesla's Model S.

The International Motor Show will also witness the magnificent concept of BMW's futuristic electric Vision M and Mercedes Benz battery-powered Earnings Quality Valuation claimed to be the first premium purely battery-electric Multi-Purpose Vehicle.

"The range has finally reached the point where I think people can see an electric car being a viable alternative to a petrol car," says James Attwood, deputy editor of weekly British motoring magazine Autocar.
