Ashuluk military base (Russia): The Russian military has launched a massive exercise to simulate a response to possible security threats in Central Asia.

On Tuesday, Russian Air Defence system successfully intercepted missiles that were imitating combat drones, cruise ballistic missiles and tactical air fleet.

"High quality of our equipment, well known across the world S-400 and S-300, along with high level of training of our combat units helped to destroy all aerial targets", Yuri Grekhov, Commander of Air Defence forces said to journalists after the drills.

"Centre 2019" military drills are taking place over three days in Russia and Tajikistan, with the participation of 128-thousand military personnel from Russia, China, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, India, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
