Hong Kong: Tens of thousands of people gathered in Tamar Park in downtown Hong Kong on Saturday to show their support for Hong Kong's government and police.
Organizers said that over 47,000 people braved the rain to take part in the rally just outside the main government complex.
Many participants waved Chinese flags and held placards urging the police to "keep it up!".
As the pro-government supporters rallied in the park, pro-democracy protesters marched on the other side of Hong Kong's famous harbor to demand the government to heed their demands.
The dueling demonstrations highlighted the political divide in the semiautonomous Chinese territory, which for 10 weeks has been rocked by protests that show no signs of relenting.
