Wuhan: Construction was continuing around the clock on Wednesday for two new hospitals in Wuhan, the Chinese city at the centre of a new deadly virus.
Land levelling at the two temporary hospitals, Huoshenshan and Leishenshan has finished and workers are carrying out sewage and power works at the construction sites, according to state television.

The 30,000 square metre (3,22,900 square feet) Leishenshan Hospital will consist of 1,500 beds, a quarantine area and accommodation for medical staff.
The other hospital, Huoshenshan, is also due to be operational in the coming days.

Construction at both hospitals began in the last week.
More than 6,000 people in mainland China and other countries have been infected by the viral coronavirus outbreak, which has killed at least 132 patients.
