A fleet of luxury cars was imported for the delegations during the summit so that they can travel smoothly in the poverty-stricken country. However, 284 cars from the fleet were missing, said police commander.
The luxury brands like Landcruisers, Fords, Mazdas and Pajeros were found missing, BBC reported quoting Superintendent Dennis Corcoran.
"There are 284 vehicles that were issued to personnel to use during the APEC that haven't been returned as yet," Corcoran said, adding that, "a special team has been formed to search for the missing cars."

Nine of the missing cars have been stolen, and parts of the cars have been removed. Some cars were found in seriously damaged condition, police said.
