AI will organise our future lives, from dawn to dusk

Guangzhou: We all imagine about the future world everyday, but China went an extra mile ahead to display the future world at the Consumer Electronics China show in Guangzhou, southeastern of China.

Known for the advanced technology China has always given their best in taking away the limelight of the show. The Consumer Electronics China show is going to provide a glimpse of the future lifestyle of every individual.

This time the destination is future where everyone will get an opportunity to visualise the creations of artificial intelligence which includes the Panda bus which looks like a panda bear.

The bus is the creation of the AI startup called Deep Blue. It's engineer Phil Guo takes on a tour.

"Once you get in, you can see the hand-scanning equipment which is different from the traditional coin collecting one, you can scan (your hand)," says Guo. Instead of a driver, there is a safety officer at the front.

Guo explains: "Here shows the driverless system, you can see that there are two modes you can choose here, 'manual driving' and 'auto-driving'."

Also, the seats are all equipped with aircraft like screens for the entertainment of the passengers.

Guo says: "A screen is installed at the back of almost every seat, there is a camera up on the screen, the camera is with an intelligent algorithm, it can analyze passengers' age, sex, then go further to hobbies, so that sending accurate advertisements to you."

"We're not sure whether you can turn off the screens if you don't want to stare at advertising on your way to work," he added. Perhaps the screens will have commercials for the products in the vending machine which is also on the bus.

The manufacturers have also paid attention to the choices of the young civilisation where speed is the main principle of the youth. For them, a virtual motorbike ride is a perfect solution.

While taking a drive the skylight can be opened, the seat can be adjusted, a person can select its destination and also can listen to your favourite song through the voice control in the car.

Artificial intelligence has also cast their spell on the household appliance and supplies. As soon as a person enters the home at that moment the humidifier will start on its own and the air-conditioning will also be adjusted to the temperature according to someone's requirement.

China's Haier Group, the world's biggest home appliance maker, has brought its artificial intelligent apartment to the exhibition.

The light turns as soon as Haier demonstrator Huang Xiaoyan opens the door. On her command, the vacuum cleaner starts to cover the floor leaving her to sit and watch television.

On another command: "I want to watch Peppa the Pig," the television switches on and plays the cartoon. In the bedroom, another Haier staff member says: "I am getting up."

In response, the light turns on and the curtains draw back revealing that we're not quite in the future yet, we are still at the show in Guangzhou.

Thinking about breakfast, or maybe it's dinner time, in the kitchen the smart house system called "Xiaoyou" is being put through its paces. The cooker turn on the oven automatically to cook the food.

It's not here yet, but this is a taste of the future we're being promised. The show will end on 22nd September 2019.
