Islamabad: At least 10 Pakistani army personnel on Saturday were killed in two encounters with terrorists in Gurbaz of North Waziristan and Balochistan.
Four soldiers were killed in the turbulent province of Balochistan while another six died in a second onslaught in the tribal region of North Waziristan.
Spokesperson of Armed Forces Major General Asif Ghafoor tweeted, "The security of tribal areas has been improved with efforts now focused to solidify border, inimical forces are attempting to destabilize Bln."
Balochistan is one of the most conflictive areas in Pakistan, with the presence of Taliban factions and jihadist groups.
North Waziristan was a jihadist epicenter until the Army launched a military operation in 2014, which later extended to the rest of the country.
