Khartoum: After months of political crisis in Sudan, the Transitional Military Council (TMC) and pro-democracy protesters 'Forces for Declaration of Freedom and Change' on Wednesday inked a political document as part of a power-sharing deal in Khartoum.
A constitutional declaration is likely to be signed within days.
The signing is a key step in the country's transition after months of street protests that prompted the military to oust autocratic ruler Omar al-Bashir and take over the country in April.
Both sides have agreed to form a joint military and civilian sovereign council to lead the country for a transition period of three years and three months.
The 11-member-joint council will include five civilians representing protest movement and five military members and 11th seat will go to a civilian chosen by both sides.
