Boeing 737 from Addis to Nairobi crashes, deaths reported

Boeing 737 from Addis to Nairobi carrying 49 passengers and 8 crew members crashed after loosing contact. Search and rescue operation is in progress.

Addis Ababa: An Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737passenger jet crashed while on its way from Addis Ababa to Nairobi in Kenya.

The plane took off at 8.38 am local time from Addis Ababa and lost contact at 8.44 am.

Search and rescue operation is in progress. It is believed that there were 149 passengers and 8 crew onboard the flight.
