Hyderabad: Shahid Kapoor has unveiled the first glimpse and title of his upcoming movie helmed by Malayalam filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews. The upcoming film is titled Deva, which is set to hit theaters on Dussehra in 2024. Shahid's penchant for intriguing roles is known, and the actor is seemingly going to do it no differently with his upcoming film Deva.
Shahid surprised his fans by revealing the film's title and his character's look on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra. The actor, who recently enjoyed success with his OTT projects Farzi and Bloody Daddy, is generating excitement for Deva, scheduled for release next year. In the revealed image, Shahid Kapoor adopts a rugged appearance, holding a firearm while a tight shirt allows him to flaunt his well-built torso.
Shahid aside, Deva will also feature Pooja Hedge in the lead role. The makers welcomed Pooja on board earlier this month for this action thriller, which is being bankrolled by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Zee Studios. The story revolves around a brilliant yet rebellious police officer investigating a high-profile case, uncovering a web of deceit and betrayal, leading him down a thrilling and dangerous path.
Talking about his role and script of the film, Shahid had earlier said 'it's rare to find a subject that has action, thrill, drama and suspense all packed into one." Kapoor also said that he eagerly anticipates this film and is enthusiastic about collaborating with Rosshan Andrrews, who will mark his Bollywood debut with Deva.
Rosshan, known for his remarkable Malayalam filmography, had earlier said that he is thrilled to make his Bollywood debut with this captivating project. The filmmaker aims to create an immersive cinematic experience and believes that Deva has all the elements to achieve that goal.
