Hyderabad: Rashmika Mandanna made her first public appearance since the viral deepfake video of hers. Accompanied by Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga, she was seen leaving the T-Series headquarters in Mumbai. Rashmika opted for a low profile appearance, sporting a shirt and jeans while clutching a file in a video shared by a paparazzo.
Rather than posing for the cameras, the actress quickly got into the car. Ranbir was also seen entering the same vehicle, dressed in a sweatshirt, denim pants, and a cap. However, he obliged to pictures and even indulged in a fan's request by posing for a selfie.
For the unversed, Amitabh Bachchan drew attention to the deepfake video on Monday, advocating for legal action against it. Shortly after, Rashmika released a statement expressing her distress, stating that she hurt to acknowledge the existence of the deepfake video circulating online. "This is an incredibly scary situation, not just for me, but for all individuals who are vulnerable to the misuse of technology. I am grateful to my family, friends, and well-wishers, who offer me protection and support. However, if such an incident had occurred during my school or college days, I honestly don't know how I would have coped. It is imperative that we address this issue as a community, with urgency, to prevent more individuals from falling victim to identity theft," she added.
Meanwhile, Rashmika's upcoming film with Ranbir titled Animal is scheduled for release on December 1, clashing at the box office with Vicky Kaushal's film, Sam Bahadur.
