Hyderabad: It's time for double celebrations for Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. While his film Kennedy will be screening at the Cannes Film Festival, on the personal front, his daughter Aaliyah Kashyap got engaged to her longtime boyfriend Shane Gregoire. Aaliyah, who is Anurag's daughter with former wife and film editor Aarti Bajaj, said yes to Shane during their holiday in Indonesia.
On Saturday, Aaliyah took to social media to share an endearing post which revealed that she said "yes" to Shane. Sharing the news with her Instagram followers, Aaliyah wrote, "Soooooo THIS HAPPENED!!!!! To my best friend, my partner, my soulmate and now my FIANCÉ! You are the love of my life. thank you for showing me what real & unconditional love feels like. saying yes to you was the easiest thing i’ve ever done & i can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you, my love."

Aaliyah, who runs a YouTube channel about lifestyle, fashion, and beauty, also shared a set of two pictures, wherein she is seen flaunting her ring while another image shows the couple sharing a kiss. Concluding the post, Aaliyah said that the feeling of getting engaged is yet to sink in and wrote, "The digital content creator concluded her post with, "I love you forever & always Fiancé (still can’t believe i get to call you that AAHHHH)."

Soon after Aaliyah dropped the news, Anurag took to his Instagram Stories and re-shared his daughter's post. Congratulating Aaliyah and Shane, Anurag wrote, "She is all grown up. So much so that she is now engaged." Shane was quick enough to reply to Anurag's post and wrote, "Thank you future father-in-law!"
For the unversed, Aaliyah's fiance is an American entrepreneur and YouTuber. The couple lives together in the US and often visits India. The duo also marked their presence at Ananya Panday's cousin Alanna Panday's wedding earlier this year.
