A R Rahman finally responds to 'Rockstar moment' after Pune cops interrupted show

Following the Pune police's recent mid-show interruption of his performance, music composer A R Rahman has finally spoke out. As the concert flouted the 10 PM mandated guideline, it was terminated. A day after, AR Rahman has released a video from his concert expressing love and gratitude while also reacting to the 'rockstar moment'.

Hyderabad: After the Pune police interrupted his performance midway during a recent performance there, music composer AR Rahman took to social media platforms to speak about it. The performance was cut short because it flauted the 10 PM guideline. Reacting to the situation, AR Rahman on Monday, posted a video of himself performing live on stage with other musicians and singers .

In the video shared by the Oscar-winning singer, we can see a policeman storming on the stage and asking A R Rahman to immediately stop the concert. Sharing the video, Rahman wrote: "Thank you Pune for all the love and euphoria." He further added, "By the way we had a rockstar moment too ;)."

For the unversed, a police officer took to the stage, pointed to Rahman, and ordered his group to discontinue the performance. While all this was happening, Sadda Haq from the film Rockstar was playing in the background. In the final moments of the clip, A R Rahman grinned and said, "Okay. I believe we have given and received too much love. Time is up. I enjoyed it. I want to thank the Pune city, the organisers, and the great band. We hope to see you soon."

AR Rahman posted the video and asked, "Did we all just experience the 'Rockstar' moment on stage yesterday? I believe we did. The audience's devotion overwhelmed us, and we continued wanting to give more. Pune, once again, I want to thank you for such a special evening. Here's a brief clip from our roller coaster experience ;)."

Many people responded to the video in the comments section by saying that the situation could have been handled in a better way. Reacting to the post, a social media user wrote: "The way you handled that situation 🙏 so much to learn from you, our most beloved RockstARR 🔥🔥" In another comment, the user added: 'Setting an example in every way 🙏🙏❤️'
