Vizag (Andhra Pradesh): Battina Appalaraju (49) nursing grudge on the injustice done to his daughter hacked six members of a family, including a months old baby in their house in Juttada village of Pendurthy Mandal in Vizag. The murders took place on Thursday at 6 am in Settibalija street of Juttada Village. The accused murdered the family members using a hunting scythe.

Police have taken the accused Battina Appalaraju into custody, and the deceased have been identified as - Bammidi Ramana (57), Bammidi Usha Rani (30) W/O Vijay Kiran, Allu Ramadevi (53), Nakettlu Aruna (37), Bammidi Uday (4 years) and Bammidi Urvasi (6 months).
The accused B Appalaraju held a grudge against Vijay Kiran, a member of the victim's family, for having raped his daughter three years ago.

Police have filed a case in Pendurthy Police Station and have launched an investigation.
