Mumbai: Expressing concern over its alliance partner Congress' performance in Maharashtra Lok Sabha election, Rajya Sabha MP from NCP Majeed Memon said that his party seat share would be doubled by the time counting ends.

The NCP leader further said that he is very surprised to see that the Congress hasn't opened its account in the state despite having two of its candidates as former Chief Ministers of the state. He went on saying that Congress needs to introspect seriously in this regard.

On the EVM issue, the NCP MP claimed that the issue is not related to any particular political party. It is a matter of transparency and in the larger interest of the country, we will keep raising it.
