Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) on Friday, formally met Governor ESL Narasimhan and held discussions regarding the expansion of the cabinet, for which, the latter had agreed in principle.
The expansion is expected to bring in new faces into the cabinet.
It may be recalled that the results for the assembly elections were announced on December 11 and KCR was sworn in as the Chief Minister on December 13, along with Mahmood Ali, who was bestowed with the Home portfolio.
Since then, KCR had been taking care of all the portfolios and was criticised by the opposition for not expanding the cabinet.
Meanwhile, assembly budget meetings will be held from 22nd of this month and KCR has decided to introduce a vote-on budget.
