New Delhi: The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution (CAFPD) has termed that the 'One Nation, One MSP, One DBT' initiative has proven beneficial for farmers. Also, with the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme, the amount received for the purchase of crops at the minimum support price (MSP) is being directly deposited into the bank account of farmers.
The farmers of Haryana and Punjab have also benefited from this initiative of 'One Nation, One MSP and One DBT'. In the current Rabi Marketing Season 2021-22, so far 41.8 LMT wheat has been procured on MSP in Punjab, and a total of 202.69 crores have been deposited into the bank accounts of farmers.

In Haryana, so far 44 lakh tonnes of wheat has been procured and 1214 crore rupees have been added to the farmers' account. It was following the orders of the central government, that in Punjab and Haryana, the mode of indirect payment of the minimum support price has been changed and money is being transferred online to the bank accounts of farmers through government procurement agencies.
Apart from these two states, procurement operations are being held in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chandigarh and other states and union territories on an immediate basis.

Food Corporation of India (FCI) has so far procured 121.7 LMT of wheat in states and union territories. So far, 11.6 lakh wheat farmers have been benefited in Rabi marketing season 2021-22, with 24,037.56 crore rupees being disbursed to the farmers.
