Farmers open up KMP Expressway in Ghaziabad

Farmers who have been protesting on the KMP Expressway near Dasna Toll Plaza for the last 24 hours have opened up the route for vehicle traffic to resume.

Ghaziabad (New Delhi): Farmers sitting on the KMP Expressway near Dasna Toll Plaza for the last 24 hours have opened the KMP Expressway. After the opening of the expressway, movement of vehicle traffic has begun.

It is known that the Samyukt Kisan Morcha had given a call to farmers on Saturday at 8 am, to take out a protest at the KMP Expressway.

Farmer leader Jagtar Singh Bajwa, who led the farmers' sit-in protest at the KMP Expressway near Dasna Toll Plaza, said that after 24 hours the KMP Expressway has been opened up for vehicular movement.

"The bandh called by the Samyukt Kisan Morcha has been successful," he added.

Bajwa further said that if the government still does not pay heed to the farmers' agitation or big protests, then their next strategy will be to gherao the Parliament.
