New Delhi: Coronavirus related cases have witnessed a surge all over the country including in Delhi. During the last 24 hours, more than 4000 new cases of corona have been reported in the national capital, while 21 patients have died. Though the rise in COVID related cases is indeed frightening, the matter of concern at the moment is about the infection spreading in schools.

Girls were confined to their hostel rooms
The Arya Kanya located in Delhi's Rajendra Nagar is a residential school. It was after the school principal was diagnosed positive that 9 students were subjected to the Corona test, out of which 7 reported positive. After a large number of students tested positive, the school administration has sent the remaining students to their homes and have instructed all those students to go for Covid testing.

St Stephens students also tested positive
Let us tell you that 13 students and two staff members of St Stephen's College, Delhi University, had tested Covid positive on the same day. Significantly, in order to ensure the safety of the students in view of the rising Corona cases, the Delhi Government has banned the schooling of children up to VIII till further orders.
