Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Preeti Ganveer, a staff nurse working in Hamidia Hospital's cardiac department has made serious allegations of inhuman behaviour by her colleagues.
Preeti has been working in the Bhopal-based hospital for the last 7 years and has been serving in the Covid ward for the past year.
On April 21, she got her husband Yogesh Kale who tested positive for Covid admitted to the Hospital. When she had asked for a PPE kit from the nursing in-charge Shobha, the latter refused and Preeti had to arrange for the PPE kit herself.

Having moved her husband to the Covid A Block, she laments that she could not even speak to her husband in his final days, as none of the staff had attended the Covid ward phone.
Sadly, on April 23 her husband Yogesh died at 5 am and neither Preeti nor her family members were informed.
It was only after an acquaintance of hers' on having arrived for duty in the ward, had informed her about Yogesh's death. Preeti on having reached the hospital was not even provided assistance in bringing her husband's body from the third floor of A Block.

However, they finally managed to bring the body down on a stretcher. It was during that time that the hospital guard and in-charge Shobha had misbehaved with her. Also, the hospital staff delayed providing her with the necessary documents.
Speaking about the issue, the Hamidia Hospital superintendent Lokendra Dave says that he heard about the issue and an investigation is underway.
