New Delhi: "BS6 fuel will be available in Delhi and other places of the country from 2020," said Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Prakash Javadekar, on Thursday. He also mentioned that BS6 compliant vehicles will also get available by that time, for which the government has invested almost 60 thousand crores.

Hailing to the work done by the Ministry in the past few years, Javadekar insists on waste management to reduce air pollution. "We have launched 6 waste management notifications in 2016 but its implementation is still incomplete. For that, we will coordinate with each and every state to launch new ideas and schemes for waste management."
Ministry of Environment celebrated the World Environment Day by launching a Short Film Competition during the event. While addressing the media, Javadekar said, "We can achieve any target by people's involvement. People are so talented and now they can showcase their talents on social media. That is why we've launched this Competition." Four publications has also been launched during the event.
