'Vriksha' exhibition at India International centre in Delhi

An exhibition 'Vriksha' has been organised at India International Centre in New Delhi to showcase the importance, power and association of trees with humans. Paintings depicting trees in various forms have been portrayed to spread awareness about the relation of humans and trees.

New Delhi: The extreme heatwave, which recently saw temperatures soar across India, is a clear reminder that the nation is quite vulnerable to the impact of climate change!

To protect the environment, India needs to update its climate targets and to achieve them awareness about the relationship between humans and trees plays a vital role.

Showcasing the importance of power and association of trees with humans - 'Vriksha' an exhibition has been organised at India International Centre, here.

Paintings depicting trees in various forms are being portrayed to spread awareness about the relation between humans and trees.

Shampa Shah, Arpitha Reddy and Vishal Joshi are some of the artists who have contributed to the exhibition by making the paintings.

Talking about the exhibition, Curator Uma Nair said: "It showcases the eternal power of trees. It is also an exhibition that is actually posing questions to the people today."
