Faridkot (Punjab): Residents of Punjab's Faridkot celebrated the 107th birthday of the Punjab Mail. They distributed sweets to the passengers and the train staff. Residents also garlanded train's drivers and cut cake.
Punjab Mail is one of the oldest long-distance trains in the country.
The train made its first journey on June 1, 1912, from Mumbai, heading for Peshawar, now in Pakistan.
It was known to be the fastest train of British India.
