Jammu & Kashmir: The arrest of two men for possessing heroin revealed that there is a connection between the terrorist group Hizbul Mujahideen and narcotics smugglers in Jammu and Kashmir in an interrogation.
According to the Inspector General Of Police MK Sinha, Fayaz Ahmad and Arshad Ahmad were arrested at the check-point which was set up at Vivekanand Chowk in Jammu.
The police seized 260 grams of heroin and Rs 12.6 lakhs in cash from their possession.
During the investigation, they revealed that a connection exists between Hizbul Mujahideen, a banned terrorist organisation of Pakistan and narcotics smugglers in Jammu.
IG Sinha said that Fayaz had gone across the LoC in January 2018 and met his brother who is a Pakistani-trained Hizbul Mujahideen Militant.
