Jammu: At least 16 people were injured Saturday when a private bus hit a stationary truck on Jammu-Srinagar national highway in Jammu district, police said.
The bus bearing registration number (JK02AP 0039) was on way from Udhampur to Jammu and hit a roadside parked truck. The accident took place at 11:50 am at Jajjar Kotli after the bus driver lost control and rammed into the truck, police added.
Police said that the 16 injured, including six women, who were immediately shifted to GMC hospital Jammu for the treatment.
"Five passengers were stated to be in serious condition," the police added.
A police official said that the case has been registered into the incident.
