Four including three children burnt to death in Bihar village fire

Katihar (Bihar): A woman and three children were burnt to death and one woman sustained severe burn injuries in a fire incident that took place in a house in Shivanandpur village in Bihar's Kathihar on Monday night.

The woman has been admitted to hospital.

The deceased have been identified as Mausami Khatoon (8), Ajmeri Khatoon (7), Muhammad Ayoub (7 months) and Rikhi Khatoon, a 30 -year old woman.

According to the reports the house caught fire from a burning candle as there was a power cut in the area.

After the incident police reached the spot and took the bodies for postmortem.

Police have registered a case in this connection and are investigating the matter.

Earlier, a minor fire broke out in a private hospital in Mumbai's Mulund area, leaving one person dead out of the 40 patients shifted to nearby hospitals. The fire broke out in a generator set at Apex Hospital due to overheating.
